Queensrÿche – Empire

This pressing could have been perfect. The remaster sounds pretty great, for the most part. It’s punchy, with excellent instrument separation. And there are certainly some songs that really stand out. Unfortunately, there’s very noticeable inner groove distortion on all four sides, particularly side A. And there are a few quick moments of clipping throughout the whole album. There’s also more surface noise than there should be, even after a good cleaning. I’d be really curious to hear the later Friday Music pressings of this, that Kevin Gray cut the plates for. Such a shame this pressing wasn’t given just a bit more care, because you can definitely hear the potential there.

An excellent representation of one of the best mixed albums of all time! Sounds absolutely INCREDIBLE!

This sounds awesome. Flat quiet vinyl. Dynamic and punchy. No complaints here. Very happy with this pressing.

Loud,clear,no background noise on my copy. The Italian release is grade A IMO.

This pressing sound amazing. The reissue on clear vinyl sound dull and flat, this pressing has the punch and clearness that this Album always have had

Very nice package. The bass guitar on this cd is incredibly accurate and sounds ridiculously good. BTW.

I haven't checked the Dynamic Range of all the CDs but the live CD is DR5 and sounds too compressed for my taste, otherwise it's a great set.

So I'm very very happy with this Czech made pressing. The only complaint I have is that all 4 sides were visibly dirty upon opening with some dusty debris..I've put both discs in Mofi sleeves in case it's from the sleeves they came in..at any rate, after cleaning all 4 sides played flawlessly, no surface noise anywhere and no warpage..the sonics ate fabulous top to bottom..sparkling highs, hefty lows, and a luscious middle, at least that's what gets delivered through my system,..I'm very happy to have this pressing, it's definitely the best I've ever heard this wonderful album sound

Way too much high end on this, had to turn it down to stop my ears from bleeding.
