Graham Nash – Earth & Sky

Why hasn't Capitol Records released this digitally? It has a great set of backing musicians.

Poor audio quality, despite the nutty "Remastered in High Definition 24-Bit" claim on the back of the case (NOTE: this is a standard 16 bit CD). Four of the tracks (#4,6,7,8) are significantly off-balanced to the right channel for some ridiculous reason. Those songs weren't that way on the cassette I purchased back in the 80s. And Barrel of Pain (Track 6) is also balanced on the CSN box set from 1991. So something obviously went wrong when the French audio "engineers" were cobbling together this release. I suppose the other six tracks are a slight audio improvement over my hissy cassette but not by much. The one positive is the packaging of my CD. The CD's housing is nice, with vivid and colorful imagery, and there is a booklet with lyrics that is decent quality. However, I believe there are some versions that aren't as detailed or as complete, as I have seen complaints. Someone in a review said the CD was simply stuffed in a cardboard envelope that ended up scratching their disc's surface. Perhaps one day a better version of this will be released?
