In reference to variant 1. A stunning reference quality recording and digital transfer. The warm, epic, resonant bass is sublime.

Edited 2 years agoThere’s no way this could be any more beautiful. Just fantastic! This pressing really does the material justice. This is music and a reminder why Its a good thing for all of us that Sarah Mac came along. What a voice! This album probably could have benefitted from more Sarah M piano, but I get it —it was the early 90s, and nobody liked pianos then. Stupid Grunge. Recording just fills the room. Someone (Chad!) needs to press The Freedom Sessions to vinyl this way.- Edited 3 years agoI have one of these, does anyone know more about them? Numbers pressed etc?
By the way, the photo here is wrong. It's for "Vox" which is a single from McLachlan's first LP. - I can’t believe 8 years after the release this is still available. Perhaps there was “Sarah fatigue” after all the hype surrounding the Lilith Fair years and her journey to a more commercial sound.
Despite all that, this and the following LP “Fumbling Towards Ecstasy” (which Analogue Productions did not release a version of) are must-owns. I’d argue this is the more important of the two. Then again, I like Revolver more than Sgt. Pepper if that helps you get my point. Everything with this recording is spot-on. It’s better than the CD, easily. I’ll avoid all the cliche terms we use like “soundstage” and just say, get this LP. I’m sure the others by McLachlan from Analogue Sound are great if this is an indication, but those LPs aren’t really my cup of tea. Great vocals no doubt, but to me this LP is just perfect and until now, I didn’t realize how perfect.

Worth it for Drawn to the Rythm as it is a great song. The album meanders though. I would say this is a cd for Sarah M fans to get into. That being said it is a good forecast of things to come for this artist.referencing Solace (LP, Album, Reissue, 180 Gram) MOVLP1711
Impressive sound and artwork. Majestic as deserved. My fave SM album- Can anybody testify to how this sacd compares to the 2x12" 45 rpm 200 gram of the same album sonically?
