Ratt – Dancing Undercover

Nice reissue here. Great balance across the stage - nice clear and mids without being harsh, kick drum and bass guitar fill in the bottom nicely with plenty of punch without being too exaggerated. So far, these Ratt reissues have been really good. I wish others would produce better product as they hop on the vinyl wagon.

This one seems hard one hard to find but now have it! I actually bought the new remastered version beforehand a few weeks ago thinking I wouldn't find a good original. Club edition from Canada, it’s a DMM cut at Sterling Sound. Perfectly flat, quiet, dynamic, and just rocks. The recent remaster is more compressed and a bit more weight to the low end than this. But this original wins with the dynamic punch.

I’ve been listening to this latest purchase all evening through headphones and it sounds great, a real punchy pressing. No bells and whistles nor add ons that the Deluxe editions tend to have, this is the way I like it

I don’t have an original LP to compare, only the original CD. LP is mostly flat and looks good with the tri-color vinyl and thankfully not a splatter vinyl. There are no mastering credits on this and I’m assuming it’s the same master as on the Atlantic Years box set that was done by Andy Pearce. Comparing to the original, it’s definitely a bit more compressed but a lot more weight to the low end and less bright which some might like if you don’t like the lean nature of a lot of 80’s albums. Nice to finally have this on vinyl as you don’t see the original very often.

This album has really aged well, no filler. Saw them on this tour and they kicked ass.

One of my favorite hair bands of the 80’s. Good album. Sounds pretty good my pressing. Recommended.

Pretty nice Ratt record this one. The sound quality is also amazing.

Found a copy of this at Half Priced Books today and brought it home. I got lucky. The vinyl is incredibly nice. After a good cleaning, it's nice and quiet with no crackles and pops. It plays very well and sounds really good.

Mine looks just like this release, except the texture of the j-card is a more glossy type on both sides, compared to what seems like a matte-inside type. Would that warrant a new release?

Very good album, sounds great and has a handful of great songs!
