what an absolutely BOSS reissue. All the single/EP tracks thrown onto what was already a classic album. It's incredible how good Compulsion's entire b-side/EP tracks collection were. Yes the artwork has been redone but i actually love the 'anthology'-like appearance to the new artwork---and inside you will find photos of the album and EP covers. Fitting tribute to one of the great lost bands of the 90s!

This great band gets a lot of flack for supposedly sounding too much like Nirvana. Frankly i never bought that criticism. They don’t sound anymore like Nirvana to me than Nirvana sound like the Pixies a criticism they endured before eclipsing them and becoming legend.
I love this band and their intensity is really thrilling to me. Joesph the lead singer and writer seems like a handful to say the least but the work stands and ill always be happy to hear anything they’ve done.
Live they certainly rocked as hard as Nirvana and that is a comparison I can live with. How about a ltd live lp guys. Throw us a bone.

Highly underrated album with loads of catchy melodies; if The Pixies and Buffalo Tom had a British baby it would sound like this. The best tunes follow the same formula: grungy riffs alternated with a melodic chorus, Nirvana without the angst. There's also two straight surf rock instrumentals and some leftovers, but overall an impressive debut for fans of indie rock.
