- Edited 5 years agoA wonderful send off from the group's time with record label One Little Indian, this compilation gives both fans and newcomers a big taste of what The Shamen were all about. Instead of sticking their biggest hits at the forefront the collection decides instead to adopt a loose chronological order on the first disc, providing the listener with palatable versions of each track instead of relying on the bog standard radio or album mix.
It also includes tracks from their last album released on the label, boosting the run time and prodding us into perhaps purchasing something the group phoned in. The 2nd disc is also worth while as it is an uproarious gathering of remixes from the likes of Meat Beat Manifesto, Paul Oakenfold, LTJ Bukem and more, offering up not fan favourites but a couple of rarities to boot! With such a well crafted release one can only hope that someday the band's earlier works can be given this treatment also.
