If you aren't moved by "Love" then you might not be human. Go see a doctor if concerned this might be you...

It's all about Class Action. The other tracks have been forgotten over time, Class Action still gets the crowd going bonkers 20+ years later.

For me "Love (Loved)" is Lukes' most emotional track. While you have such a classic track on the A side you should not forget about the banging B - Side. When i hear "Class Action" i always remember Woody McBride (Dj ESP) playing this at "U-Club" (Wuppertal / Germany) in the late 90ies. That was an awesome night.

This has to be my all time favorite release by Mr. Slater, together with 'To Be Surreal'. The videoclip always fascinates me. What even more fascinates me is that Dutch television channel TMF (The Music Factory) broadcasted such epic hybrid of ambient and techno music in the mid 90's. I was only four years old when this was released, but I would almost be certain to be a dedicated TMF watcher if they played all this kind of music.

I also reminded me when I found this record in a record shop in Amsterdam, this was before I really used Discogs to buy records as well so I was over the moon when I finally found this one, while it's not even that rare. When I took this out of from the bins the owner pointed at me, saying how much he loved this record and how good it was. We''d put it on the platter and played it out loud through the whole store. it made us both quiet for a while. I'm guessing this gaves us both goosebumps, and this record still does till today. If you close your eyes while this is being played it just gives the feeling that you don't need to give a flying f*ck about the world. It also reminds me there goes nothing by the rush of finding such a classic in a dedicated record shop. It's just so much more fun and passion to dig through the crates rather then just order it on Discogs.

                Thank you Luke.

the remix sounds like it has been given the joy division treatment, very reminiscent of atrocity exhibition with the added percussion, bass guitar and shrill synth

Great track, one of my favourites from Luke Slater. Recently, under bizarre circumstances, I realized that this track have some striking similarities to my favourite Second Wave detroit techno jam ("Missing Channel - Edge Of Infinity", 1992). Maybe Luke Slater was inspired by that classic? I think so!

Salaryman's version is marvelous, freestyle samba percussion over melodies that run amok to the fundamental essence in Luke's melancholic harmony. Understand how pleasantly surprised I was by this remix, even after hearing Slater's sleek orginalverison on the album (Freek Funk).
