Alvvays – Alvvays

UO just released all 3 Alvvays albums in exclusive very nice colours, limited edition. 35USD (45CAD). Didn't unpacked my versions yet, but hope they sound optimal as all later UO exclusive vinyls.

Alvvays is hit or miss for quality pressings. This pressing however, sounds great! Far superior than the European Transgressive pressing I had which had a bunch of distortion rendering it unlistenable. I bought this US pressing to replace it and I don’t regret it. It’s much more clearer dynamic. I recommend this pressing.

The mix on this record is originally lo-fi. However, this pressing has quite a bit of added distortion. Not the best pressing of this album.

UPDATE: I replaced this with a US orange Polyvinyl pressing and it’s far superior. Get that one instead.
