- Edited 7 years agoLast volume of the classic Harthouse series, the only one to have come in double CD in jewel case instead of a single CD digipak and the weakest – or better the only weak one. It is filled with minimal, mostly repetitive, linear and going nowhere music. There is also some Breaks/Electro which by ’96 Harthouse started to release too. Nothing bad with variety but can add little, if any benefit to this compilation. Included is also the classic Trommelmaschine by Der Dritte Raum but this can never save an already flawed double disc.
Harthouse started in 1992 and the best year for me was ’93 followed by ’94. 1995 was also good though not as the previous ones but by ’96 label had turned mostly to Minimal Techno. Gone was the dark yet filled with warmth Techno/Trance magic sound it was mainly known for and between 1997-98 label folded.
