Vastly more exciting and compositionally stronger than Reeled And Skinned. Doesn't suffer from the unnecessarily extended track lengths of Making Bones. Very much a poster album for dark acid jazz with a swagger. IMHO the best Red Snapper album. Space Sickness is top.referencing Prince Blimey (CD, Album) Warp CD45
The album is a lot better than I remember it, quite varied, good live feel and grooves. Mid-90s Trip-Hop CDs are ten a penny, but this is one to get for sure.- Edited one year ago

RS make compelling acid jazz-jazzy downtempo-breakbeat music that is emblematic of electronica of the UK, yet singularly idiosyncratic. Bassy, deep, jazzy grooves for the 90's and beyond. Some of the best music on Warp is to be found within this band. - Edited 3 years ago

Wow, magnificient album, what a atmosphere, perfect for a travel staring at landscapes! referencing Prince Blimey (2×LP, Album) Warp LP45
I keep getting visions of Quentin Tarantino shitting on dumb interviewers when listening to this.referencing Prince Blimey (2×LP, Album) Warp LP45
Yeah, of course, this is an absolutely classic. Fantastic release. Superb mix of acid jazz, trip hop & downtempo. Always on the top.- Edited 5 years ago

It's so surprising no one hasn't posted anything for this album yet... it's defenitely one of the greatest releases of the 90's! I can still remember the shock & awe on the first listen... that hasn't changed through the years after!!! The band was in great shape, all that nostalgic 70's mood, the twisted jazz! Only the production is mediocre, the bass is a few dozens of dbs higher, organ placement is rather "splashy" and the whole sounds far from audiophile... but still, the magic is there, no doubt...
