- Edited 8 years agoFeels as though this is straight out of the mid 1990's ambient techno movement and that is not a bad thing. It is not dated sounding, just vintage, yet never leaving us in the past. At times with Lengthy ambient intros followed with laid back yet danceable melodic beats IDM style (As in "Stranger Than Fiction" "The Shape", "Chillit", Other times hitting the beats from the very start and never letting go (As in "Nano War", "Game Over", "Alive With Wires", "Waveshape Emotion", and "The Uneasy Truth" and "The Falling Stars").
Mick Chillage is really able to earfully display his diverse array of sonic electronic capabilities. Some moments certainly have that Pete Namlook, Fax Records vibe, yet never a replicate.
Expect the unexpected from what you already know of Mick Chillage and Autumn of Communion. - Edited 10 years agoThis took me by surprise. Very close to the sound of the mid nineties which I miss dearly. An excellent release no doubt.
