This is truly a gem and an audiophile quality recording and pressing! If you don't have it, your fault. This is a must have if you are into Jazz-Funk.

This is good. Really good. Great. Music is 10/10 if you like smooth funky jazz. Mastering and pressing quality are 10/10. Superb all around.

Does anyone have the most recent release? How is the sound in compare to the former releases?

This pressing is phenomenal. It’s dead silent, which is especially apparent during “Funky Motion”. It is easily one of the best pressings I own.

Don’t think twice, just buy it.

“Funky Stuff” is a very good album indeed but their album “In the Groove” is probably even better.

I picked up the CD a few years ago; this is a great album!

Important to know - the upcoming repress is the 6th (!) repress of this exact pressing. Same matrix number same packaging same everything, hence doesn't have a new release on Discogs. This is a minor problem cataloging releases here - because in this case, a release can cost hundreds of dollars here, while a newly repressed LP would cost a fraction of this price retail, as we speak.

Although not (yet) listed here, there was a 2019 repress of the 2015 reissue.

This desperately needs a repress or reissue by an international label!
