Opeth – Pale Communion

Add my name to the list of folks disappointed in this one. I compared mine with the UK needledrop on the Archive and its night and day. The UK just burst out of my speakers !!! This one sounds like there's a cotton ball on the stylus. No excuse for this poor quality...

I have the variant 2 of Eu pressing ,no problem here absolutly beautiful amazing sound on this one,can really recommend this

Another person who can confirm that this sounds awful. Surface noise and distortion

Great album but pretty bad pressing. My copy doesn’t have much surface noise, but there is an awful lot of distortion.

Anyone else get a box that has two solitude 7" and missing var kommer??

If you don't want the background noise of poorly made vinyl, the cd version of this record is very good.

Far and away the WORST sounding record in my collection. Several deep cleanings to no avail. Do not even think about buying this press. I wouldn't even give it away to my worst enemy. A total abomination.

My copy is quite noisy on both discs, but still enjoyed it a lot through a nice set of headphones. The mastering is very well done.

I've got a copy here in the UK (by their mistake as I've ordered the UK version explicitly) from a local store and I can confirm: it sounds awful, lots of distortion, absolute rubbish. It's also missing the printed inner sleeves.

It's going back to the store.

My first record is very noisy - it crackles, the second record is a little better, but also noisy. But the recording of this edition is very good, detailed sound, good sound stage.
