Dismember – Hate Campaign

Hate Campaign is an odious page in the history of Dismember. The curse and triumph of this release was the deliberate melodiousness of the compositions. On the other hand, no one but them could so expressively combine the power of the armor-piercing swedodeath and harmony from the heavy metal of the eighties. This has become their distinguishing feature. It is this album that is an unobtrusive combination of a headbanging old school and a series of catchy melodies and solos, half an hour, eleven tracks, nothing superfluous.

Since this album was not released on vinyl in the year of release, but in 2006 there was a press from NotVDR, it is not very clear what became the source for the release from Nuclear Blast. It is clearly audible in the sound that all studio controls are turned to the maximum. Just a wall of sound, but even in it there was a place for the solos brought forward. Anyway, when playing this album, my equalizer showed that literally from the first track, all frequencies reach peak values from the first track to the last. It's probably fair to note that the sound is at least very close to the CD version.

As for the level of the edition, it's still the same regular press from Nuclear Blast, single sleeve and insert, vinyl sounds perfectly smooth and clean. As for the color of vinyl, this is not just the ugliest and most awkward design among the actual re-releases of Dismember, but in general over the years of passion for vinyl. My copy was pre-ordered... but, again, the unsuccessful design of the splatter does not affect the sound. In general, this vinyl can be a good addition to the collection, but it's better to look in a different color.

Unfortunately, Back on Black got me…again. Fairly poor quality audio. Lots of wow/flutter and high frequency drop-out on these reissues. Packaging is decent, but listening is not enjoyable. Bummer. I was really stoked for these on the cassette format. Earlier (official) releases that were on tape put these to shame, even 30 years later.

All the songs run in like 1 long song,but on this copy it sounds like it skips at the start of each track. Does anyone know if the other pressings are like this?
