When I was working in a record shop and this record was released, there was a big discussion about the tempo of "4 Degree". Everybody was playing it at 45 RPM, as decared. But Dr. Motte and all employees of the shop thought that this track has to be played on 33 +8% (or +16% if you tuned up your MK's). That night Motte played it at legendary E-Werk in Berlin. The crowd went totally bananas on this thing and every Guest DJ who spun that thing there, was told by us to play it again later on 33. I tell you, they were never disappointed when he saw and heard the effect. So, just try it for yourself: play it 33 +8!!!referencing 4° (12", 45 RPM, 33 ⅓ RPM) db 16
Acid Scout doing what only he can do. Superb acid builder with lovley rounded 303 sounds, nothing at all offensive here just happy, subtle loops with a great backwards beat used sporadically and to great effect. Very melodic and the layers keep coming! If only there was more of this stuff, we wouldn't need drugs. Only surpassed by 'balance' (db 22) which has to be one of the best techno tracks to ever grace my 1210s.
