Very very brillant album ! Please, WeMe, we need a repress !referencing Nu (2×LP, Album) WeMe313.11
Four years on, this still holds up as an unparalleled masterpiece of electronic music. It badly needs a repress.referencing Nu (2×LP, Album) WeMe313.11
Very melodic and playful, guessing, done 100 % analog and recorded on reel 2 reel.referencing Nu (2×LP, Album) WeMe313.11
Fantastic label, one of my absolute favourites in terms of artists and releases but the quality of the pressings are heartbreaking - lightweight vinyl that skips too often. Thankfully the majority of releases can be bought in digital format too.
Regarding NU, I agree with Synt, top release from a top artist on a top label - 5/5 and one of the best of 2014.- Edited 8 years agoTHIS Is the golden record they should've sent up in space for other civilisations to hear.
Album covers like this is one of the reasons I collect vinyl instead of CD. Great effort from Stian.
As to describe the music, it's kind of minimalistic but somehow still quite varied. He really implemented some really well crafted synth work and charming melodies, chords, pads, you name it. I recommend you getting this rare version, it sounds just as good as the black vinyl one and looks much better at the same time. - This album is a masterpiece, no less, simple but mind-blowing melodies, great warm synths, it allows your brain to visit the stars filled outer space without moving from your sofa. Seal of high quality braindance.
