Such a classy album of understated ambient techno. Nothing overly flashy or overly clever and up its own arse, nothing too hard and banging for the hell of it, just beds of warm and rich pads, washed out ambiences and thick sumptuous bass drums filling in the gaps that need to be filled. Probably my favourite release of 2014. Totally immersive, decaying future/industrial techno on an epic scale. Very lengthy but absolutely cohesive. A unique sound world that kinda reminds me of FSOL in its threatentingly beautiful texture, although this is minimal and techno-oriented.
