87 people have this... so much for the description claiming that there are only 12 copies.

Remember seeing this on ad posters on the London subway... Made me hipster-avoid the album for a bit. Gotta say, though, I, for one, do like the short tracks and the wide experimental vibe (just trying new things and collaborating is impressive). If you liked Cosmogramma then this is your jam, just a bit more epic, dark, hiphop/fusion-infused. It’s short in total, but that’s alright, makes you want more and keeps it feeling urgent which might be on purpose thematically. Personally enjoying this a lot! Props to FlyLo for being so collaborative <3

Sorry to say this, I am very disappointed, as only a few listenable tracks, the rest of the tracks sounds like: (fillers only)... At least the artwork is mint, amazing seriously!

Even though the A2 side is a bit noisy in my print, I still love this album, it's his best work yet.

this is an interesting album that starts to shine when the jazz drums and sax starts to kick in .

People complaining about how much space is wasted etc have no clue. If you were to split this album into two sides it would sound like crap : you can't cram about 20 minutes worth of bass heavy, distorted electronic material onto one side without having to make SERIOUS compromises during the cutting process. On the other hand, what the mastering engineer could have done to improve it is to either cut each side at 45 RPM (beneficial in every way) or add one or two more songs on each side and make it a 3-sided LP, that said, the latter wouldn't change much and you'd wind up with a blank side (speaking of wasted space...).
There is no point in complaining about the nature of the medium and the limitations that come with it. Take it or leave it, maybe digitise it or live with it, that is.

This album is quite the trip. The two 12" format is lost on me though. Its such a waste of material and a bit of a nuisance. Its not like 90s albums that get reissued to a vinyl format and does not really fit the single LP format... this record was intended to be this short side format, which I don't get. Thundercat did the same thing for Apocalypse, which is turning me off from getting the album.

On the plus side, the artwork is amazing. Very twisted, but very clever. Its a great release to have on the shelf, though being overweight.

I found this "album" to be very disappointing considering his previous releases.
This is more like an EP, with 2 or 3 full tracks. The rest seems like filler to me. Random 1 or 2 minute tracks that seem more like ideas or rough mixes or something.
Call me boring but I wanted more of the same stuff that got me into Flying Lotus. I loved the heavy, throbbing basslines that to me was his signature sound. There is almost none of that here, instead just self indulgent experiments that for me serve no purpose other than to bore and make me listen to something else instead.

I find the generally very positive reception of the album incredibly confusing.

(Quick Review #14)
Listen: #1

I went to this album since I heard it was nice and jazzy mixed with some fun weird shit. It's a good album in my opinion. The production is great, and besides the Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Joints, the whole album has a J. Dilla Donuts vibe to it, with most tracks only being 1-2 minutes. This is by no means a bad thing, as I love Donuts. But yea, great production, great vibe, great album

Decent to Strong 8

somebody involved in this release must really hate inner groove distortion..
