Notes
"The LP" was intended to be Large Professor's first solo album. However, his label at the time, Geffen Records, opted not to release it in 1995. Thus, it was first 'officially' released by the Paul Sea Productions label in 2009. As a consequence, several unofficial versions were released prior to 2009.

Can’t believe this album got shelved in 96- a lost gem ! - I don't have any issues with the blue vinyl pressing I picked up at the time .

This is not a review, more of a note. But Ill review it quick: The LP (rec. 1994-1995) in all shapes and forms is superb. More bass, introspection and gloom than XP's earlier work, almost at a Havoc level at times, Sunrise, 1+1, Spacey and Mad Scientist are staple joints in all my hiphop playlists. I can enjoy Main Source - F**k What You Think (1994) w/ Mikey D taking the place of LP and K-Cut doing most of the prod, but its a different league. Imo, LP is a grand master boom bap demigod, up there with Pete Rock, EZ-Mo-B, Ayatollah, RZA and Primo. Its sad he doesnt get the cred he deserves.
Here come the note: According to an interview with Toney Rome (sry I dont have the link, try googling it), Neek the Exotic was CONSIDERED for the feature on Spacey but Cee-Low happened to be in the studio at the time and took the slot. I also asked Fatal (hes Large Pros live DJ and a surprisingly skilled and charismatic one at that) after a gig in sthlm whos featured on Spacey and yeah its this Cee-Low dude. It was loud at the venue/bar and the convo a bit drunken and hazy but its not that controversial, Toney Rome should know if anyone. Abt Cee-Low: Not a well known rapper but I think hes been on some Black Sheep (/Dres) track early 90's. Anyhow, Neek the Exotic is NOT the high pitched voice featured as #2 on Spacey, though he & Cee-Low sound alike.- Poor pressing, probably because of the coloured vinyl.
