Initially I didn't want to get this because I didn't really care about the extra tracks, but I'm glad I did. One, the quality is exceptional. I had this on CD when it came out and played it over and over, and even though it's been years, I can tell you it didn't sound any better than this. And two, the extra tracks are totally worth your time. I had no idea that Tom wrote Leave Virginia Alone, but it explains why I found myself liking it despite not giving Rod Stewart a chance on anything else (maybe he's good, no idea frankly). But Tom's version is better and now I can't hear that song in my head the way Stewart did it. Oh, and the packaging is really nice too. Quality material, well designed. Highly recommend this release.

Packaging top notch altho shrink wrap alittle tight and some edge warping on first and last records. Nothing major and not worth returning for. This is my second attempt with the first one having big hunks of glue on one of the discs!! All of that aside, the sound is sublime. This could easily be my new favourite TP LP. Nice booklet, discard the crappy paper sleeves for anti static. Quick clean and you’re good to go. This is essential Petty and I’m wondering if I’ve missed a trick by not getting the 9 disc boxset?

Wouldn't you know it....I finally find a copy. Buy it, open it, go to clean it.....and something is embedded in the record that makes it pop as the stylus passes over it. It looks like a flake of paper or something but totally ruined it for me. Not to mention Side 2 of record 1 the label is grossly off centre making the record look warped as it spins. Now I have to return it and go on the hunt for ANOTHER copy. FML!

This pressing is absolutely spectacular. It's also a really beautiful cover and the material feels velvety smooth just holding it in your hands. Love the 3-panel gatefold and just staring at the photos. Sounds crisp, clean, and quiet. Do not pass this up. If you are on the fence, just do it. No regerts.

What's already been said doesn't need to be repeated, but I found this at my local Barnes and Noble for $39.99 and had a $30 gift card so I figured why not... Blown. A. Way. An already lush. well -rounded, Rick-Rubin-Produced masterpiece becomes even more lush and well-rounded. I haven't even touched "All the Rest" yet - Listening to Wildflowers with this amount of detail is a treat enough.

This one made me smile. Like, ear to ear. Great dynamics and spaciousness. Lots of details in the highs. A little noisy in the background that can be heard in between songs, so not exactly a black background. Still, a really fun record to listen to.

Mint copies of this LP plus bonus material for ~$30 is an absolute steal. I bought this when it was released and I remember OG pressings were going for upwards $4-500 bucks and the review area was filled with comments begging for a repress. In 2020 they finally repressed it in various forms - but I never in my wildest dreams thought it would sound THIS good. I'm so glad they didn't compromise anything on this one. One of my favorite Petty LPs with flawless sound.
