referencing Rūtsu No Hōyō (CD, Album) ACT322
I had a long hesitation before buying this album, because I possess every Empusae releases. Then i ordered other things at Ant-Zen and said "hell, why not..."
...
Geez, i do not regret. I listened all Empusae albums dozens of time, and yet when I herd Rutsu no Hoyo for the first time, I had the feeling than I re-discovered almost each titles... Why ?
Well, first there are on some titles little changes here and there - absence of chant on Seven Types of Ambiguity, the tiny presence of a delicate guitar, some mix changes, some noisy ambient adds, this kind of things...
And second, the materials here come from live performances, and for this kind of music, this is something important, the sounds are more organics, and yet as pure as crystal, the changes made by Sal-Ocin on stage do transform some very known titles (especially the older) into new ones, with this weird and disincarnated voice, and maybe sometime more harsch.
So if you are like me, loving pure ritual ambient rythmic sounds, and hesitating for buying this album, do not hesitate, for this is a new and deep experience into live recorded masterpieces.
Thank you for that, Sal-Ocin.
(P.S. : Sorry for my bad english language, hope there is not to much mistakes)
