You could be forgiven for being sceptical about yet another female vocal euro trancer, but you may well be surprised by this. Or maybe it's not that surprising when you consider Push (under his many guises) has consistently released some of the finest euro trance since breaking through in the late 1990s.
On the face of it this really should not work. It follows the tired and tested formula of anonymous boshing beats up to a massive and probably ill deserved breakdown before the usual surge thereafter. The vocal in the middle is an improbably daft song about a monster living in a forest and a girl needing to be saved!
However, every aspect of the Push remix is engineered to perfection. The vocals are haunting and can be interpreted with metaphorical meaning, and classically melodic euro trance tour de force thereafter is a journey into symphonic heaven. The tough beat oriented intro and outro serve to make this an easy tune to mix into any dj set.
Those who liked the Tiesto remix for 'Silence' by Delerium will love this. referencing Please Save Me (CD, Maxi-Single) RAD99137-2
Please Save Me combines the pulsating synths of Push with the beautiful vocals of Sunscreem. It has one of the sickest breaks that DJs have heard in a long time, with rumbling basslines and tweaked out sounds. The uplifting synth hooks are more than enough to turn the floor into a dancing frenzy.
Lucia Holm sings the haunting Please Save Me vocals. Sunscreem continues to dish out some of the best music a synthesizer has ever served up. They have always managed to capture a timeless quality in their music.
