referencing Detroit Red EP (12", Limited Edition, Single Sided, EP, Red Translucent) A.R.T.LESS 2202
the Detroit inspired work is all about the B side track "Exhibition"- Has anyone else noticed the red sticker going all horrible and falling off? Pretty disappointing not to mention it's ruined another record from the glue seeping.
- Edited 14 years ago"Exhibition" is possibly the best homage made in recent years to these early Detroit techno tracks combining slammin beatboxes and naive sci-fi synth pads, ie Rhythm Is Rhythm "Drama" or Reel By Reel's "Surkit".
Well crafted, produced and composed with this typical retrofuturistic machines melodic melancholy yet still bouncey, this is ideal music to dance alone with your headphones on while gliding as a passenger in downtown Detroit's strange and mostly empty monorail train.
