East Of Eden (2) – Mercator Projected

I mean, if these Tapestry releases are truly "unofficial" than these are the best boots ever. Great sleeve production and sound quality is excellent. They never disappoint and this one is no exception. Found locally and am throughly enjoying this album I've always neglected for some reason. Top notch psych prog! Especially the B-side.

Can you please give information about the sound quality on here?

This is a great sounding pressing, clear and detailed with plenty of life and presence. May even be better than my 1st press UK Deram copy, but without doing a direct back-to-back comparison I'm not certain of that, but it's highly possible. In any case, this Japanese pressing is well worth seeking out for those who really love this album, like me.

I have a copy of this LP with a hand drawn/assembled cover (front & back). Its very strange, looks like some kind of promo or something, not "fan art" or anything.... does anyone have any insight into this?

Fantastic slice of late 60's UK psych/prog. Fans of other violin based psych/prog bands such as String Driven Thing, High Tide, Third Ear Band, and the like have to hear this. In my opinion this album surpasses anything they did later (though 'Snafu' had its moments)...just brilliantly played mind blowing music from beginning to end. Not a dull moment on this LP. If not for the music, the band photo on the back cover is worth the price of admission as well :)
I also own the 2000 Deram Japanese CD reissue where they replicate the jacket in miniature form very nicely, and the audio transfer is quite good too.

Sure glad I hung onto my original UK stereo vinyl pressing of this LP (SML 1038). You have to chuckle at some people here trying to sell this LP in VG/VG condition for nearly $200.00...wtf?. That said, mine must be worth $600.00? Lol.
