Great pressing of this classic, plays well. In my opinion it is an advantage that the Interludes are missing for the most part because they ruin the album flow and weren´t funny to beginn with.

Nice and clean pressing on transparent orange vinyl. No surface noise, no clicks or pops. Put all that aside, if you are a sucker for hiphop: buy this record. A hard to find classic.

Completely over-hyped album. This and "Dispoable Arts" are alright albums but a far cry from Ace's previous efforts. The production is nothing special with many yawn-inducing songs. There's a reason why some records are out of print... The songs do by no means warrant the retarded prices this record generally fetches. Ace was right by making the decision to step back from releasing solo albums. The features he's been on outshined this and Dispoable Arts by far, imo.

hard to find classic album which continues on from Disposable Arts and featured a list of (at the time) lesser known producers who subsequently lace this release with track after track of dripping soulfull beats that sound, well, like summer itself. Beautiful is just that, Good Old Love is 9th Wonder Bliss and Soda and Soap is another Spinna banger. Its not all good in the hood as Da Grind and Wutuwankno paint depressing, realistic pictures of the record 'industry' and the sheer hard work most fans don't even know goes on. A concept album that only Masta Ace can pull off this is one of the top records of that decade and the crime of not printing more copies makes this a) hard to find and b) hard to ever let go once you do. Not one duff track. Kill for a copy.

This album takes the definition of modern hip hop to the next level. I've never thought that Masta Ace would be one of my favourite artists. But since he came with EMC to Lodz (Poland) in 2008 on Outline Coulour Festival, I've made up my mind. All the songs were tremendous, mostly from this album and EMC - The show.
As for A long hot summer album - this is a complete new level of hip hop. Tracks like Good ol love, Beautiful, Bklyn Masala, Oh my god are the best in all ways. Lirycally and musically this album beats all the albums released in 2004. This one is a classic in my collection, so if you're wondering if it's worth to have it - trust me, it's really worth

This was the first Masta Ace album I had ever listened to...and it had me searching for his entire catalogue! One of 2004's hottest HipHop releases. Between "Da Grind", "Brooklyn Masala", "Revelations", "The Ways" and the 9th Wonder produced "Good Ol' Love", can't decide which track takes the top spot. But it doesn't really matter...coz this is one of the best albums packed with lyrics of the highest standards and excellent beat production. Whilst the skits tell a story...the tracks are strategically placed to stay in stride with the storyline. The end-product is a well-rounded album that defines the direction HipHop should be taking.
