This is not the first time hearing this album but it feels like it’s the first time I am enjoying it. I only had one other (US) version and this one is much, much better sounding imho.

This 16-bit remaster, issued 39 years after its debut, sounds amazing. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. This sounds like one of those High Dynamic Range albums, I don't think there's any compression at all. Which means it's time to kill the speakers or my ears, whichever occurs first 😉

Are all these transparent black / amber? Randomly held my copy to the light. . .
I was disappointed in this remaster; the original is low in volume, this is worse. Plus the tonality is grey and washed out and dynamics are weak. I binned it.

Anyone got a high pitch squeak/squeal through She Sells and Black Angel (last two tracks of side two)? It is occurring for about a quarter of a revolution in the same spot. Could not see a defect on the surface - could it be a noise from the tape?

Saw a review here that after running through their record cleaning machine, that the issues (which were reported by many), went away.
So, wondering if anyone else here actively uses record cleaning machines. Recommendations?
