Ray Lamontagne – Trouble

This is my first copy of this record, so there is nothing to compare to, but this sounds really, really good. Buy with confidence.

Anyone else get an orange and white swirl copy? I don’t see that option

This pressing sounds fantastic! It's quiet, finally. Not much difference in the mastering, except on a few tracks where some percussive instruments were moved forward. Hoping now for a repressing of 'Till the Sun... '

Much better mastering than the original pressings. By no means will it blow your mind, but it sounds very good - like it should have sounded the first time around.

Lots of pops and cackles seesm to be standard on these releases unforutnately. It's a brilliant record regardless, and it only occasionally detracts from the beautiful music.

I have owned four different copies of this album, two of them open fresh from sealed– And ALL had some significant scuffing on the records. The most recent copy I found sealed also had considerable scuffing right from the sleeve. But after a good wet cleaning it plays well. It's not the most silent album and not without some isolated crackles and pops. But overall, it a beautiful release, definitely worth owning if you can find a cleanish copy. Looking forward to hearing the 20th Anniversary edition coming out in June.

I just found a sealed copy of this pressing at a local record shop. Side one is scuffed up a bit, and is a bit crackly. Side two plays flawlessly. Gonna do a good wet clean, see how things turn out. Outside of that, this pressing sounds incredibly good. The separation is beautiful, and clear.

Maybe I’m the only one that cleans their records properly, but my copy sounds pretty great on my $1500 setup. Pops and crackles are almost nonexistent. Certainly no different than any other new or old records I own.

It’s not the most mind blowing audiophile release, but it’s an extremely enjoyable listen. It’s balanced well, maybe the high end could be a little more enhanced.

Very happy with this pressing, it’ll get plenty of spins in my house for years to come.

Simply beautiful. The songs sound so familiar and as old as time.

Just picked up what I thought was “Trouble” but the inner sleeve and vinyl was actually “Till The Sun Turns Blacl”. Any else heard of this error?
