- I just noticed an odd thing about this version of "Secrets" - on this two disc Edsel version, certain tracks (at least) on the Album cd have the channels reversed. Since I have the original cd version, and the 31 track deluxe digital edition, and the stereo image is the same on those two releases, I conclude that the problem crept into the Edsel reissue. Anyone out there care to comment?
Edited one year agoMost ridiculous packaging award goes to... this release. Not sure how this got through the band or their approvals process but holy hell this is an odd one. Waaaaay too big to fit in any standard listener's storage solution, and the discs themselves are stuck with adhesive inside the awkward envelope and that glue is all over the discs.referencing Secrets (Cassette, Album) 210336-4

Not only one of the League's best albums, but one of the best synthpop albums in general. Every new League album gets compared to "Dare", but this is the one album that really is on par with that classic. The brilliance that "Octopus" hinted at, "Secrets" has in spades. The songs are solid, vocals and harmony arrangements are stronger than ever and production is clean, crisp, futuristic and original. Shame the label folded right after it's release as it deserved so much more attention than it initially received.- Edited 3 years ago

Brilliant album! Not a bad song on here. 9 full length songs, each having chart potential; and 7 short and snappy instrumental tracks that serve as an interesting prologues or epilogues to the full tracks. Production sounds crystal clear and contemporary (even after 20 years); artwork is eye catching; lyrics are well written; and the songs themselves are superb. Too bad the record company Papillon folded the same week as Secrets was released, otherwise it would've been a top ten album. referencing Secrets (Cassette, Album) 74321 88791 4

This is awesum! Definitely sounds like the Human League but with a 00's twist to it - the remixes are great too. Nice pressing as well. I never had this album until it came out on vinyl - I'm very glad I purchased it. Now in My collection..- Fan. Freekin. Tastic. I couldn't me more please to finally have this on vinyl. Didn't expect to see any in the US but my indie had 1 copy. Lucky me.
