the Kay Cee Remix is it simply for me. the melody is actual from an old track from 1995/1996.
the melody comes from this track: "4Voice 3 - Eternal Spirit (Northern Mix)" - you can find it on the Pascal F.E.O.S. – The Frankfurt Hardtrance History CD3!

Play Kay Cee's remix pitched up slightly in a Hard Trance/Powertrance set like Mark EG, M-Zone, Juice & Cally etc did. The ravers will love it ;)

Hey skeleton man...6 years later ...there is absolutely nothing better these days around in EDM circles PERIOD...lots of money and glam and no substance or brains to any of it...Before you tossed it, considered that although it was a rip off the eternal voices in 1993 and, YES, swiss and cheddar share the same definition as KayCee - Escape in many minds and social circles...There is nothing that can come close in this era of pseudo-hip, but, definitely no hop, generation Z's, to the clever hook and unique transcending feel displayed on it. I know many a Hip-Hopper or Drum & Basser, or just plain trance-hater who shaked and baked at one time to this track...yet no one has been able to equate a shady, hap-hazard remake of it yet, over 15 years and counting... PLEASE NO IDEAS ABOUT IT... YOU ALL...OUT THERE!!
If, and a very big IF indeed, there will ever come an EDM or trance, Goa renaissance / revolution, this track will hold as a true classic and make the cheese heads AKA KayCee - Oliver Huntemann Kim Lacour and Stephen Bodzin, all heroes in my book. Bless you for being on whatever you guys were on, or not, WINK WINK, when you decided to put this together.

"Escape" is just a re-make of the 1993 classic "4 Voice - Eternal Spirit" and broke lose a row of ripp-off like trance covers using the recognizable long sweep-n-glide hookline from the original.
"DJ Janis - Lovestruck", "DJ Jo vs. Tom-X - Eternal Spirit", "Franchino - 999", "Lightforce - Passion Lights The Way" to name but a few.
KayCee's Escape made it to the most recognized club hit because of the way its produced and arranged. The eternal spirit lives on ;-)

Pace the first reviewer, this track hardly merits such a lukewarm reception as a 2 would indicate. Kay Cee "Escape" is one of those perenially relevant trance jewels that will get played as long as our generation and our culture lives on or is remembered. I really like the Signum mix, and play it often; though the signature "Escape" melody takes quite a while to kick in, when it does, the floor erupts with gleeful recognition and really gets into it. The original mix, however, is really the kickass shit. If you want to make everyone's spine tingle, play this mix. God, how this tune takes me back =) No trance DJ can go without this record. 'Nuff said.

I only really got to hear this record the night I sold it. I remembered right away why I bought it. I've found myself many times humming this melody slightly embarrassed. Cheddar!, you say? No, this has balls if you dare dig deep enough.

It is melodic, yes, it is Ibiza clubby and, yes, it takes the Gillette test to cross-over cheez material test but set your mind straight to it and Electromix may come back money well spent.

And with these thoughts I find myself sending the record away ...

This double-pack contains the slamming breaks remix used by DJ Icey in many of his sets! (Electro Remix)
