Never get tired of listening to this. Even more incredible than the synths is the way she nails "eerie plus worried".- how's this cd single sound? Is it just a rip of the vinyl like other cd singles of the era (re-releasing old disco tracks)?

A friend at work bought me this as a secret Santa gift...Ho! Ho! Ho!..received with thanks- Edited 4 years agoIn my personal life i have old friends from kindergarten uptill now and musical friends. All those musical friends all have different specialty fields than me but that makes it so interesting when we come together. Dettmann was opening The Selector stage at Dekmantel on the early saturday afternoon in 2017. My partner in crime those days is an Italo/Noise/Electro/Disco and everything in between specialist. We always seperate our ways because we have our own roadmap those 3 days and come together at specifick moments on the day. One of my favorites is Dettmann, he didn't have anything on his agenda and he went along with me.At the looks Dettmann didn't seem in his element but never the less his mixing skills and tracks are always otherworldly never on an automatic pilot. At one point he was mixing this for me then unknown "ultimate italo classic" and i was (like many others) grabbing my phone to shazam this. My friend looked at me and sayed: common you don't know this? Me: sorry no and said you know it: He said: offcourse! and gave me the answer. But what happened next when he mixed the next "electro" track in this track i was looking at my friend and i saw his face like he was puzzeling something in his mind. I said what's the matter, he said: this track i own this already for 10 years, but i do not understand how he mixes this? One week later he told me he tried to mix both tracks the same as Dettmann did but after 30 attempts he stopped trying. He also has 20 years of mxing under his belt but untill this day he never understood how Dettmann mixed those 2 tracks and he played them a million times! That's Dettmann a man who was born to play and make techno and can play virtually any serious kind of electronica, to cut a long story short: This is also an amazing track: Euphoria at it's best, in my humble opinion. This is no hype DJ this is how it's meant to be all these so called super star dj's who are at their place where they are right now, when i would come up after Dettmann on one of the world stages: i would be afraid, i would be very afraid. But the new techno crowd doesn't listen they only check who has the most famous instagram account.

Sounds like the missing link between Giorgio Moroder & Black Devil to me...- Edited 14 years ago

Maxim Ouachita says: Danger in the streets! This song stands for 'everlasting' repeats without boring. "The Ultimate Warlord" is a good combination of different elements (with mighty pep) that remembers to a funky 80s time - nevertheless is timeless. With its impressive frisky (sometimes dark) character it creates space which induces to move, rotate and dance everytime you listen to this all-points-track.
