jodyz have you actually tried cleaning it? You say you've only ever taken it out its sleeve twice. My copy sounds pretty good & i bought it 2nd hand in a record exchange shop around 6 years ago. When i 1st played it there was the expected crackling here & there however after it got its clean it sounded & still sounds great. Shame your copy sounds crap. As you'll probably be aware picture discs are renound for not having the best sound anyway. Hopefully if you haven't given it a proper clean then doing so might help.

I played this once (Pioneer PL-7) when I bought it in 82 and it sounded like crap. Played it for the second time ever last week (Pioneer PL-505) and it still sounds like crap. I can actually hear the differences as the stylus tracks over the different colors.

Quite surprised by the value of this single, but then again it had to be on the superior strength of the B side which is quite rare as it didn't appear on any album or most 'best ofs' .... But why? ... What a tune... Was this REALLY 'natural things ' only appearance on vinyl?
