Absolute cracker of an album. Great pressing too. A blues/rock album that strays into jazz territory. What a trio.

This being a promo with the sticker as using the CSG process for the fold down from stereo to mono but this one shines. Hunt it down!

Great pressing! Haven’t heard any other to compare but can’t imagine it sounding much better.

Strong low end/bass… Might even be too much on some systems/set ups.

An excellent record, and a really solid reissue here. One of many fine performances by the great Rory Ghallagher. This one's certainly worth the money.

I was lucky to pick up a Mint unplayed copy of this record in Munich in 2013. As far as I can determinate, it is the first Germany issue. Fortunately, the Music on Vinyl reissue which I had thought about buying earlier in the day had been out of stock at the local Saturn Store. I made the trip out to M2 at Rosenheimer Strasse that afternoon and found the original! Some days you get lucky, I guess.
When I cleaned the record, wet cleaning followed by ultrasonic, I was literally floored by the sound quality and the equally superb pressing quality of this Deutsche Grammophon vintage LP. It sounds as if it was recorded 'yesterday' as audiophiles tend to say about superb vintage recordings. If you can find this in NM/M- or unplayed condition, don't hesitate. It's very, very good especially if you have access to state of the art cleaning for vinyl records.

This 2016 heavyweight vinyl comes in a textured sleeve but the card is pretty soft, much softer than usual card sleeves!
One of my favourite albums, in fact the debut is great too!

Despite the fact that this is a studio album (the bane of many a 'club blues' artist) the recording team of producer Tony Colton and engineer Eddie Offord have managed to capture the raw essence of Gallagher and his band to perfection.

Sounding just like they're performing where they were at their best - on the boards of pub & club stages, such as the Marquee - Gallagher effortlessly milks brilliant riffs and runs from his Fender Strat, with voco-box scat singing on some high spots. He further proves his all-round blues credentials as a lyricist & singer, plus some tight blues harmonica & alto-sax work, with equally tight support from Wilson and McCracken.

One of the best blues trios of the time, along with Cream and Hendrix... unmissable.
