This is such an interesting album. At this point Tim Finn is gone. Only Neil remains. The album moves solidly into rock pop while still aspiring to Progressive Rock. But it feels like it is missing something important.

Ambiently - this is a great album. Songwriting wise, it's just ok. There is literally nothing memorable on this album. It's sonically pleasant and rhythmically pleasing. But, it doesn't feel like a Split Enz album which is probably why it was the last one.

As I think on this - it really has the feel of a contractual obligation album. Like - they knew this was their last album and so they were just, messing around when they put it together.

The highlight for me is Kia Kaha which was side one of the 12 inch on the previous album.
