A lot of surface noise on my copy. But my plants are growing well.

So are any digital versions upgraded from the new master tapes they used or just the vinyl?

My copy has a "SIDE ONE" label on both sides (the vinyl itself is stamped correctly though), is that a known variation?

isn't this kind of rare? pretty glad i got it for, like, 20 bucks.

everything about this is super sweet. the disc is green! it comes with a booklet about each song and also some notes on taking care of plants!! the download card has seeds in it so you can plant it!!!!

rarely do i see records with this kind of passion put into the pressing. super cute. also the quality's real good.

An excellent pressing of an essential electronic album. The download card will sprout plants when potted & watered, too - and that just makes this particular version even more loveable.

Just a heads up, I believe these are available for 30$ on Sacred Bones' website...

very expensive to get ahold of (i paid around $140 on eBay getting lucky with an auction, no booklet) but if you can get ahold of it i HIGHLY recommend it, as good as the remaster is for what they had this one sounds way more 3-D

The album had a fairly limited distribution upon release, some examples being available to people who bought a houseplant from a store called Mother Earth in Los Angeles or those who purchased a Simmons mattress from a Sears outlet and select book stores where one could also find the book along side the record. It may have also been available in other outlets.

This is the only version I have of this album so I can't compare it to any other, but I'm happy with this one. Coloured vinyl isn't my thing, but this one looks cool! I really like the booklet and code card is a nice touch, although better anti-static inner sleeves would be appreciated. My copy is a bit noisy (something I expected when I saw "made in Czech Republic" sticker), although I cleaned it once and it already sounds better, I assume few rounds of cleaning and spinning will eliminate most of the dirt, but I have to say that, with reading how this record was made and how master tapes were found, few pops and a bit of surface noise suit the whole story of this masterpiece, it adds to the vibe of a cult classic that was basically unknown for majority of its existence.

For some reason this one sounds for me better than the first normal black issue on Sacred Bones.

Maby it even tops the Homewood press (the orginal) but i'm not as sure about that because the orginal of mine has alot of static where i can't seem to get rid off without needing to extensively cleaning it...
