Alabama Shakes – Sound & Color

Other reviews convinced me to get this and I’m thrilled I did. Clean pressing, great mastering, and lovely punch of color. Love the live second LP too

This is damn good for a Walmart press. Can’t beat the quality of the jacket or the sound quality for the price. Plus the color of the vinyl is fire too!

Got one of these sealed from an auction site but it was one of the noisiest records I've ever put on my turntable, unfortunately. Ruined it for me, so I decided to get the Red/Black/Pink release.

I would normally think clear is a slightly better gamble than colors for sound quality but in this case the Red/Black/Pink release was an exponentially better pressing for me.

I upgraded to this version and I'm glad I did. The LPs are beautiful and the sound quality is exquisite, especially the first LP. I was worried about whether the colors would introduce surface noise but encountered none of that with my copy. No warping to speak of either.

It's a night and day difference from the clear version I had before, which was one of the noisiest records I've ever put on my turntable.

Really dorky but found the absence of track D cool. First time ive seen that on a record. LP sounds ok. @Longwell_Records in Bristol delivered it to me on his bicycle during the covid summer.

My god.... this record has an incredible noise floor, rich tone and fantastic imaging. I have a pretty decent collection and have bought a lot of albums I was excited about the past year or 2. The experience this album delivers is the the best I have come across from any record short of 45RPM 1/2 speeds.

Mediocre pressing. Can do better for such a good album. The mixing is a bit rough too which I confirmed on digital too.
