Jimi Hendrix – The Jimi Hendrix Concerts

As otheriver mentions, be wary of bronzed copies of this CD. I've seen more appear for sale bronzed than unbronzed, often being sold as a "gold cd". So it seems this particular title suffered quite badly with the bronzing curse of PDO.

It's a shame because this Media Motion release uses a superior mastering to the Castle Communications CD, with no noise reduction.

I guess it is due to the concert recording, but my copy has a lot of ambient hiss. Especially on somewhat quiet sections.

This really is a killer live album. Many live albums fall short This Rocks. Maybe some Hendrix bias? Cassette version is sonically sound

Quality pressing. If there is any debate as to Jimi’s greatness this album offers all the evidence needed.

This is a killer sounding live album made of some of Jimi Hendrix best live performances in US and London. The sound is big, fresh, punchy and crispy. If I had to taket only one album by Jimi Hendrix, this one it would be, this is a masterpice of Rock music.

This is a great selection of live songs from several concerts mixed so that they all sound like they are from the same show.

Definitely one of best live collections and even though it’s spread across 3 years of performances, it still manages to maintain a cohesive overall sound in terms of quality. I have most of Jimi’s live official releases and definitely regard the versions here of Fire and, in particular, Little Wing as amongst the best available. Little Wing is played slower than usual but the sound of his guitar with added reverb is just achingly haunting. And Mitch’s drumming across all tracks is proof of what a towering musician he was too.

This is a must and couldn’t agree more from reviewer below. These are selections from concerts in USA and ENGLAND. Sound is phenomenal and 12 page booklet strong nice to read great information.You will not be let down.
Jimi Hendrix AND The Experince will Wow you.

Surely not the all-time best, but surely a proper very good Hendrix live. One of the very best "Douglas era" albums, the tracklist is superb, presenting much of significance in between Hendrix' blues roots and psychedelic pop. You even get a short "Star Spangled Banner" during track two. A really worthwhile release that sounds like one gig, good pressing quality as well. Recommended, especially to the newcomers who love vinyl but who don't own anything that's been recorded. A 3 to 4 stars, tending strongly to 4.

Wonderful jams and solos. Hendrix being Hendrix, limited by the format, but overall a lovely listen
