A fantastic 180g all-analog pressing by QRP with Bernie Grundman and Chris Bellman doing mastering and lacquer cutting. Super quiet vinyl and a really great sounding recording and a truly amazing LP mix by Eddie Kramer.

I just got my copy yesterday and I'm almost finished listening to it. It does sound superb!

I didn't realize that this copy came out in 2012 and then in 2017 the 2 180/200 gram LPs came out being made in Europe. Unfortunately, the common USA made LPs are just 150 gram LPs. I just realized something similar on the Jimi Hendrix Miami Pop Festival LPs I bought new also. It didn't have the QRP sticker on it either. But this sparkly copy does.

Berkeley 70 has one of my favorite Hey Baby (New Risin' Sun) versions.

I'd still like to get the European 180 gram released in 2017 coffee and check it out. I know it doesn't affect the copy because I really don't like these 150 gram LPs anymore :-) That's my one and only complaint with this specific release.

The sound is super and spectacular! It has great highs, bass, mid-range, and it is a great show with just the lightest amount of surface noise In one part and I think that was from static!!!

Two of the most warped records I've ever seen. So much for QRP...

Hendrix fans, you have to get this. This is probably the best live Hendrix concert available, I'm torn between this and the Atlanta and Maui gigs. Maybe it's because Hendrix had had a little break after the "Band of Gypsys", maybe it's just that Billy Cox brings out the best in both Hendrix and Mitchell. Either way, this is the best band he plays with. My version has all of these songs, but also five songs from the first show. The songs from the first show are great, so I don't know why they aren't included on all versions, maybe the Hendrix Estate just wants another release later down the line. From the first set, the amazing version of "Johnny B Goode" had previously appeared on "Hendrix in the West" and "Hear My Train a Comin'" had appeared on the "Rainbow Bridge" album. There's also a good version of "Freedom", yet another great version of Red House (How many versions of Hendrix doing this song do I need? Well, how many have you got?) and the best live version of "Ezy Rider", albeit with a bit of unnecessary drum solo. (As well as the songs from the first show there's also the sound checks.) The songs from the first show and the second show are all both in one continuous recording, and the sound quality is OK too so it's like actually being there. Hendrix sounds like he's enjoying himself at this one. This is essential for any Hendrix fans, you can get the first show through Wolfgang's Vault too.
