- Overall, I agree with the other comments about the sound. It sounded good to me on the first play. I love the design of all of it, the slight contrast between the matte and shiny black printing is a nice effect. My copy is signed on the sleeve in black marker - not personalized. Could have been cool to use a silver marker but You can still see the sigs, so fine by me. I'm grateful the sleeve was signed but would have preferred they still put it in an outer/storage sleeve for shipping which they did not. That being said, mine arrived with no issues. I take marks away for the green vinyl not being 180g which I sort of expected and also the outer sleeve is such a lightweight cardboard/paper. This one will definitely need to be handled with care when it is used. In the end I love this album. I really dig the bonus tracks, the D-Side etching is really cool, and it's definitely a cool touch to have it signed. I'm still satisfied with the purchase.
I also ordered the black Digitalism tee and wanted to report it is a high quality shirt. It has some weight to it and you can tell it's a shirt manufactured with greater care and quality than most band shirts these days. - Sorry to hear yall got your shrink signed, was pleasantly surprised to receive it with the jacket signed today. Sound wise it’s alright idrc though I’m just happy to finally have this on vinyl:)
- I don't really care about the signature or thank you card, but they spelt my name wrong which was a bit disappointing.

Does anyone have an Idea why there isn't an EMI of France version of this with the Catalogue number 5099924212700- Edited 11 years ago

Absolutely love this record. One of the best albums of the zeroes in my opinion. I do find it a pity that they feature an edit of Pogo on the vinyl version, I like the regular CD version better. referencing Idealism (CD, Album, Enhanced) ASW 89240
Rough around the edges, but stronger for it, Digitalism's debut IDEALISM treads after Daft Punk with eager steps. "Magnets," for instance, layers the vocoders under the influence of heavy electro, retaining a harmonic element all the while. "Zdarlight" carries an obvious homage to the Motorbass co-founder in the title and the driving beat, while "I Want I Want" lets the rock elements carry the energy. The acid electro is reminiscent a bit of Alter Ego, but their influences also range to New Order and LCD Soundsystem on "Pogo." They bounce back and forth between rock and electronics, ever restless, and that perhaps keeps the album interesting. The chanting on "Homezone," for instance, shakes up the proceedings, while "Echoes" takes things back out on the electro note. Digital, yes. Ideal? Not quite, but getting close.- Edited 17 years ago

Raw, energetic, clever. Reminds me of my first time listening to Daft Punk's Homework. Clearly a major influence on this production duo's work. At times they pull out the guitar and it has an LCD Soundsystem feel to it. Recommended.
