Taj Mahal – The Natch'l Blues

One of my all time favorite albums and this pressing sounds really great. Highly recommend!

I haven't heard any other versions but hard tho believe there could be a better pressing. Gut wrenching low bass, fantastics seperation between instruments. I'm very happy with this 2nd hand vinyl

This is probably Taj Mahal’s best album, although I won’t argue with you if you say ‘The Real Thing’, the live LP is better. Both are absolutely fantastic front to back. Unfortunately, my copy of this skips too much. I may have to get a replacement, because I miss listening to it!

My copy sounds great. Rich, full, with a wide sound stage. My run-outs differ slightly from Discogs info, but it's a close match:

Beautiful pressing. Really quiet and well mixed. Sounds wonderful on my system straight out of the packaging. Nice poly lined inner sleeve.

Great pressing! Not audiophile, but definitely with a warm analogue sound. Great separation and wide soundstage. Recommended.

I have a copy that matches this runout, including the "S" but does not seem to have the A11 or A7 at the end. In addition, the B side label lists B4 as "Aint That A Lot Of Love," which I see in one of the Pitman pressings but not for any Santa Maria pressing. Should this be its own pressing/listing/variant created on Discogs?

Taj is in a class all by himself. HIs blues is acoustic, which is a stand out. His voice is also great. It has a strange mix of old country and something a little more modern. I saw him when I was about 25 years old in montreal quebec, approx 1985 with a good friend who also liked Taj Mahal alot. The club was a small red room, and Taj played alone, on a stand up piano. They wanted what seemed like a lot of money to us 2 students, but we coghed up the dough. THe place was perfect, low lights, and everything looked like it was draped in red velvet. We just sat and watched. I cant remember a single tune, but I am sure it was great.

I found the lp in a box with many others on the side of the road! That was another day to remember,
