- Probably the best CD edition overall, the waveforms are identical to the 1983 Japanese 35DP 70 CD, albeit a bit louder, but unlike that CD the polarity is the correct way round. All subsequent DSD remasters are loud to the point of introducing clipping, and they fadeout abruptly, unlike on this SBM edition where both tracks are the full length and fadeout gradually.
- Notice how this and the original 2009 Blu-spec both have 2002 written on the back of their obis (meaning they use the 2002 DSD remaster) instead of the more recent 2006 DSD remaster? I own a copy of the 2007 SACD, on which the Redbook layer uses the 2006 DSD remaster, and after comparing its waveforms to the various other CDs I own, I noticed that it has a channel imbalance, with the right channel being noticably quieter than the left, and also that it has the polarity the wrong way round, so maybe in hindsight it was considered defective by Sony Japan?

i have one like this but with 70’s columbia labels, everything else is the same- Sounds excellent. There is no annoying noise on the last part of Side 2, which presents in digital version and recent release on white vinyl. So I guess MoFi has managed it.
Some ticks here and there. Cyclic clicks for 20 seconds right in the end. So not a perfect quality.
Not a gatefold too bad. Otherwise great. - What a great sounding record! As the title implies, the music is delicate and subtle and in some releases or systems it can sound flat and muddy, but in this one you can hear all the details and layers of sounds with great clarity and definition... the guitar, the electric pianos, the bass lines and of course the two horns. A superb release for an absolute masterpiece.

Vraiment un pauvre petit pressage que cette édition legacy , a peu près comme tout les legacy malheureusement...referencing In A Silent Way (LP, Album, Repress) SBP 233839
A cool understated gorgeous & free-flowing concept album full of layers, revolutionary inter-plays, medium/slow tempos & relaxing moods showcasing Miles development towards his jazz-rock/fusion sound. Outstanding beautiful music with a very stellar star-filled line-up.
A revolutionary masterpiece.- This remaster sounds really, really good through the whole spectrum and from left to right. One of the best in my collection. Highly recommended! When I listen to it it's as if i am in the room with the musicians. Incredible how well this was recorded back in that time.
