referencing Nave Maria (LP, Album) 308.6062
Nave Maria is one of my early Brazilian wantlist adds. Tom Ze delivers a highly experimental but catchy and fascinating masterpiece here, with some truly indescribable sounds. Incredible staccato guitar work (some of the electric lead playing utilizes distortion) and enchanting female vocals. The whole record is grounded by funky Brazilian percussion and bass, plus Ze's unique vocals (range from crooning to screaming to grunting). So happy to have this original in my collection (nice wide sound on my copy), although this needs a proper wide release repress badly. Buy your grails!
