Mine has run out groove numbers as follows:
Runout (Side A etched): A&M SP5143-M5 INT △22613
Runout (Side B etched): A&M SP5144(RE-1)-M4 INT △22613-X- Edited 2 years agoI'm laughing at how historically inaccurate are the liner notes signed by Digby Diehl. It says Maria Eva Duarte was the second wife of Argentine dictator Juan Peron, lol. He was a democratically-elected president, who won the elections in 1946 and was reelected in 1952 (Evita died less than 2 months after he started his second presidential period). Then, he was deposed by a militar coup d'état in September 1955 and lived in exile until 1973. So, Evita was not only the "second wife", but the First Lady of the country during 6 years. It seems Mr. Diehl didn't make a proper research...

I would like to insert the label images of this version but the very competent guy who thinks got a master degree on TFD me imprisoned in the CIP and since more than a year and after requests to vote many pending submissions here I'm still unable to contribute to diminish the lack of better info through in the Datab.
- Edited 3 years agoIf you haven’t seen the Todd in the Shadows episode about this record on YouTube, I highly recommend checking it out. It’s a deep dive into the making of the album and in particular “Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft.”
- Same as the Argentinan release... The tracks "On The Balcony Of The Casa Rosada / Don't Cry For Me Argentina" (From The Opera "Evita") are not included on this release.

The argentine vinyl version doesn´t incluye "On the balcony of the Casa Rosada / Don´t cry for me Argentina" on side A. The LP was released in 1977, under the militar goverment, so the song was problably censored.- This album is a ton of fun to listen to, and was completely unexpected. It's a smorgasbord of musical genres and a potpourri of sound. From Jazz to pop, and easy listening to rock, it has everything. (And this daring duo even threw in some musical theater to round it all off.) Their collective sense of humor shines through with a larger-than-life cover of Klaatu's Calling Occupants ... preceded by a wacky intro by their guitar player and finished off by a sweet and massive orchestral outro. If you're a Carpenters fan I highly suggest taking a listen. If you're not necessarily a fan you ought to give this album a try; I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. (This comes from someone who grew up listening to this group on the a.m. stations in the 70s but who owned not one song or album until this one.)
