- One of the best 12” from this era/genre.
Shame both songs get forgotten in the rehashing of 1988 via now yearbook this and now 40 years that referencing Megablast (Hip Hop On Precinct 13) / Don't Make Me Wait (12", 45 RPM, Red & Green Labels) DOOD 122
This is sick. I’m sure most Americans never heard of this. Love it.- Edited 3 years agoWhat a classic of club electro house, with the energy of the early club & acid scene in the UK, smack in the middle of the 2nd Summer of Love.
House is a feeling, and not just a feeling, a series of transcendent frequencies in themselves. Listening to this quickly, although at home in this era perhaps a million miles away from the experience of the early scene itself, should still give some impression of those kinds of frequencies.
Tim Simenon and Bomb the Bass did so much to bridge from the early, disparate, mid-80s dance scenes and bring on the full-blown early house scene in the UK. I always felt that he was more aware of that the energy of Chicago, Detroit and New York needed to be tinned and brought and grown in a seed tray in the UK, whatever legends might or might not have been going on in Ibiza. - superb timeless composition
music use in xenon 2 game on atari st & amiga 500 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9nD9DQwd80
But return in 1976 with the movie Assault of John carpenter's bof :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNfDSNG7Y0g - Can anyone confirm that the 12" version of Don't Make Me Wait is not the same as the Maximum frequency mix?
