Notes
Original US vinyl pressings were embossed with braille on the front cover and inside gatefold, which is the first time an artist used braille on an album’s artwork. The braille on the front cover spells out Stevie’s name and the album title, and the inside gatefold has the message “Here is my music. It is all I have to tell you how I feel. Know that your love keeps my love strong. – Stevie".

Sound is great on this first german pressing.
Very clear sound, no compression as on 2016 „Back To Black“-Reissue- The best record in terms of sound quality I have in my collection. You can hear every instrument very clear. Sounds is so rich and clear and detailed, its just perfect.
- Much better than expected... i prefer my MoFi but this is flatter and quieter than i expected albeit there is background noise that never fukky goes away. No barcodes to be seen so guessing its a Scorpio US reissue. Sound is good considering the mystery of the sourcing!
- Edited 2 months agoSuona discretamente, senza rumore di fondo.
Copertina scadente carta da fotocopia. - Edited 3 months agoSeems to be mastered with a wrong Tape EQ (recorded with NAB-standard, replayed with ICE-standard, thus this record has +8dB bass and -3dB treble. https://pspatialaudio.com/tape%20equalisation%20correction.htm
- This is a wonderful vinyl. It has almost no noise, which is hard to believe for a record from the 70s. It is probably of the same quality as vinyl aimed at today's audiophile. Regarding the sound of the vinyl, the low frequencies are slightly suppressed while the high frequencies are boosted, resulting in a clearer sound. All the cuttings from Japan's Tamla Motown are excellent, so it's worth buying.
- Edited 5 months agoBoom 💥 - this pressing is sublime. It’s not the greatest recording, but it’s super-clean and everything sits nicely across the soundstage. Probably as good as you’ll ever get.
- love this album. bought it to replace my mom's early 70s copy that had some skips. was really disappointed in the difference of sound between the two. this one sounds kind of... compressed? no warmth.
