All of Astral Projections albums can now be found on their Bandcamp page as of October 2022. However the downloads arnt cheap and I've found buying the CDs from Discogs works out cheaper.referencing Dancing Galaxy (CD, Album) TIT CD012
My favourite Astral Projection album. I know that many others prefer "Trust in Trance", but I think this album is even better. Truly otherworldly. ~*~- Edited 5 years ago

This is excellent (but not groundbreaking) album from the leading artists of the genre. However, when I listened to the album first time, I though the real groundbreaking gem there was the 8th track - "Ambient Galaxy (Disco Valley Mix) (13:44)".
Astral Projection had a tradition of placing downtempo tracks at the end of their albums, and this acid ambient piece was a stand out, really exciting for 1997. It later appeared on several downtempo ambient compilations.
When I re-listened to the track in the '10s, I found that I'm no more so much excited about it. However, I was surprised to find out that it has some elements of what later became known as DUBSTEP. Just pay attention to the way music sounds right after 4th minute. - Edited 16 years ago

That´s the base and the best album from Astral Projection ever compiled. Of course every album from Astral Projection is colossal, but you can find the most tracks with delightful tunes just on Dancing Galaxy. Melodical hard stuff. Zinger for DJs! But maybe antiquarianism piece for goa freaks, who barely fetch out this record from the cover sleeve. - Edited 17 years ago

One of four essential releases by the Astral boys (the others are Trust In Trance, Astral Files, and Another World).
Well, if you ask me these guys were pretty much walking on water back in the midnineties and this album another notch in their belt of classic psytrance releases. My favourite here could be opening track Dancing Galaxy, but then that might just be because I know what I am in for the following some 70 minutes after this.
DG is still widely available and I urge any psytrance fan to get it. This could easily be the easiest & cheapest value-for-money psytrance purchase you will ever make.
No home should be without it. referencing Dancing Galaxy (CD, Album) TRANR612 CD
If you like strong synths, funky voices, good routine and your trance pretty much hard......this is the album for ya! I think this is the album, every trance lover would like to have but can't seem to find!!! The music is vivid making anyone want to dance throughout the whole album :) Personally I cant come to terms why ap haven't become succesful like paul van dyk, carl cox or tiesto etc but anyways!
The music in this album varies from psychadelic, goa and even progressive trance! The best track in my opinion(the best track of ap as well) is without any doubt liquid sun! A true classic! The song makes you go crazy whilst at the same time makes you relax! The routine of the song is perfect and the strings.....just well garnished! The synths are great and hell I think there are other tracks not of ap's, which are imitated from liquid sun's synths!
Another good track is track 1 - dancing galaxy! It's melody is great (although not given that much importance) and the sample from dune.....yyyyeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!
It's major problem is the beats! Don't get me wrong, they are very good, but the whole album makes use of the same kick and open hihat! That might become lame and uncreative!
Track 8 is the least track which i like! It starts pretty well, but as it continues developing it gets really boring! :(
Anyways I strongly reccomend to anybody who's into electronic music to buy this album! It's a true classic!! Mind my words! ;) I give it a 9/10
