This album is an absolute knockout! And it always blows my mind when David Byrne comes on. My copy has an engraving around the label that says “all succumbs to the face of persistence.” Anyone have any clue what that’s from? this pressing sounds amazing - warm and dynamic. great for both the Frippertronics and Discotronics sides.referencing God Save The Queen / Under Heavy Manners (CD, Album, Reissue, Remastered, Stereo) DGM5025
in some parts it's audible that the tapes have deteriorated just a little (distortion). but it detracts nothing from the magic. God Save The King is the same backing track as Zero Of The Signified, but with a Very bold and inventive guitar solo work. Music On Hold is a tight-but-loose power trio jam session, also interesting in many parts. great reissue!
Track 7 (previously unreleased?) has some classic Fripp shredding over a very funky bassline & beat. The entire reissue sound quality is excellent. This album never sounded so good!

As many EG vinyls this one is sometimes crackling as well even f it looks mint
