These tracks have been re-recorded with new instruments / samples and are different from the original tracks on the version released in ’97.

A highlight from the so called "Trip Hop" area. As already mentioned: same time as AIR and it was an independent smash hit in that year. Highly recommend as also his other works as "alter ego" Kid Loco. Hear for example: She's my lover. This is CAN pure. just another decade+ later.

What there are no comments here.
Well this album hitting aroung the same time as Air - `moon safari` seemded to touch all the right places for me.Such a well produced and great listening experience with some very good highlights such as `A Grand Love Theme` and `She`s`My lover`.
A real smokers album for all lovers of Nightmares On Wax and so on.
From begining to end this album is most subtle and delightful and a pleasure to listen to.
I recommend 5 stars!

It's not so much a remaster as it is a butchering. Some of the samples have been changed and various beat sections have been pitched up or slowed too much.

Take some time to hunt down the original pressing instead. It's well worth it.

Avoid this remastered version. The original one is better.

Most of the tracks lost their touch, and sound pretty boring.

I am pretty sure that this album deserves a comment! This is the quentessential trip hop album. Marvelously chilled grooves with some outstanding cut and paste work. His loops work to perfection. Kid Loco had a real cinematic style to his early sound. Even though it is easy to blow off a lot of the early trip hop stuff to weak production quality and lacking more modern technical wizardry, this is not one you can shrug off. It towers over most of the mid nineties trip hop releases and sounds just as amazing a decade later. If you could only purchase one Kid Loco disc, this would be that one!

A treat to this day: full of lush instrumentation, easygoing rhythms, and a playful sense of humor that's much cherished. From the swelling strings of "A Grand Love Theme," you know you're in for a treat. The delicate guitar on "Relaxin' With Cherry" sings sweetly, even when backed with some light hip-hop beats. Katrina Mitchell from the Pastels offers vocals for the Indian-tinged "Love Me Sweet," while "The Bootleggers" and "Calling Aventura King" go for more cinematic landscapes. "She's My Lover" goes for swirling psychedlics. My favorite track, "She Woolf Daydreaming," which goes from angelic and blissful to slightly pornographic and then to wistful. "Cosmic Supernatural" is both spiritual and earthy. On the second disc, "La Seduzione" is sexy and languorous, while "Pearly Girly Man" swings and swoons. If "She Woolf Daydreaming" was slighly pornographic, "Cum'on" goes that whole hog. "The Wrong Number" start off dark, but then moves into some harp and bass action.

An outstanding album. Not a weak track in the bunch.

This is exactly what the downtempo world was needing when it came out - a beautiful, cinematic panorama of world music, chilled beats & italian porno soundtracks (no, really!). This 2 cd set has a bonus disc of tracks only available on his hard-to-find singles, and is well worth the extra money. "Love Me Sweet" features Katrina from The Pastels on vocals, and is the only vocalised track here. The rest rely on samples and innovative song passages, something sorely lacking in a genre that all-too-commonly relies on simple loops.

In a word: Stunning.
