- I went to re-rip this CD and I'm just now realizing that my version is missing a number of tracks of off both discs. There's 19 tracks on disc 1 and 18 on disc 2.
- hi hello. the next to last track by twine is not Twine - Kalea Morning but Plectum - this same Artist/Album
- A selection of tunes used in Miss Kittin's "A bugged out mix" double CD compilation in 2006. I must admit that I am not that crazy about these tracks. The versatility among these 12 numbers is great, but it's just that when I am confronted with these tunes on their own, without Miss Kittin's dare-do and charismatic mixing technique, they all lack punch. Without the wider context of the rest of the sorrounding elements used for it, this seems like a shallow compilation of music used to forge a fabulous DJ mix. However, having said that, it is arguable that was the intention here. A skilled DJ will find quite a few treasure tracks here, be it The Hacker's remix of the EBM stomper Freefall by Terence Fixmer and McCarthy, the acid house classic 151 remixed by Terrace, Squarepusher's famous My Red Hot Car, Misc.'s pounding, groovy and quirky Vakuum Radio, or my two favorites here, the hands-high-up-in-the-air old school break beat rave stomper Don't Go and the hypnotic, spaced out and dreamy minimal Metal Slave, produces by a dream team collaboration between Donato Dozzy & Brando Lupi.
To conclude: there are about three tunes here which I enjoy listening on their own, out of which I've already owned one since a long time. So I cannot really say this one payed out. However, it remains a good peak inside Miss Kittin's record bag at the time, but not only that, since this lush 3xLP release can prove itself worthwhile to many DJs, especially those who like to drop an odd tune every now and then. My sincere recommendation would be geeting this only after you have checked out Miss Kittin's already mentioned contribution to the bugged out series. That one rocks hard, and this can only be seen as extension, a complementary bonus if you would like, to her spot on DJ mix! - Edited 18 years agoThese are indeed Perfect Days & Nights by the notorious Miss Kittin. The mixes are simply flawless, the music varies from straight electro to techno on the 1st disc, and experimental, downtempo & idm on the second disc. What impresses me as well is the quality of the sound: the mastering is astounding, and its something that is often butchered in these kind of records. In my opinion of the the best release of the Bugged Out series.
