Sounds like I'm going to stay away from this reissue. From all the bad reviews looks to be a piece of garbage.

I pre ordered it in London and it arrived yesterday in Denmark - Great sounds on all sides as good (or as bad) as the original master - Record 1 is a Little off-center pressed but overall a great album. Just like i remember it.

I got a great copy of this record. The hole was cut a little tight, but not the worst I've encountered...definitely no forcing it on and off the spindle.

I do notice some of the quality dip on side D but I frankly think the master/soundstage for the entire record is slightly sub-par, maybe a 3.5/5 for me. There are gorgeous arrangements on this album (notably Run, Baby, Run which I had forgotten about) and they beg for a little more of that crisp separation, "band is right there in the room" feeling.

Packaging and color of the records is fantastic. On the whole, is it the greatest release you could ask for? No. But it's finally on vinyl and this is a nice addition to any collection.

So I am still waiting for an European release. Seems the US one is not of good quality. Would be enough to get it on black vinyl...

Side A had GREASE on it that caused skips. I spent an hour cleaning it to get rid of them. The spindle hole is off-center on both records but is very pronounced on the first record. SIde D sounds terrible with background noise throughout.

Sides 1-3 sounded amazing. Side 4 is riddled with non fill. Side 4 sounds like it was kicked across a dirty floor before putting it on the turntable. So disappointing. The worst part is that I purchased while on vacation so return will be difficult to impossible. Too bad as this one could have been great!

So glad that this LP was resissued, on cool blue double vinyl. Now this is my review of the packaging/disks. For one, I cleaned both records on my VPI machine prior to playing. Also, I was able to clearly inspect for marks/pits, and I was glad to see my did discs looked fine. I did find a small pit or two, but nothing major.
LP disc #1 was tough getting it on my cleaner's spindle - which is the same width as the turntable - therefore, I had to push it down the spindle, and gently moved it up side by side to slide it off the spindle. Luckily, my cleaner's spindle can act as a light file, so I was able to slightly widen the hole. Issue resolved.
LP disc #2 had no issues with looks or sounds, i.e. pops, skips, and the center hole was fine and centered. So no issues here.

For the jacket, this is a gatefold nice quality paper stock. The records each came in paper outer/plastic lined inner sleeves for the records. Therefore, anyone who has the first two issues should ensure that both the needle and the records have been cleaned. As for the audio, all I can say is AWESOME! And NO SIBLIANCE!

Highly recommended purchase!

As an album 5/5... as a pressing, 3/5. My side B has divots leadings to skips and side D has fine line scratches that sound like a crackle through most of "We Do What We Can". Hopefully when/if a black vinyl pressing comes out, it'll be pristine. It would be nice to have a remastered version as well.
