One of those releases where it's hard to decide which mix to play. Tata Box Inhibitors was the Jamez & Dobré alias dedicated to mind-bending acid techno workouts in the mid-90s, but come Anno Domini 2000 they twisted the formula towards the more progressive trancey textures dominating the scene and delivered a tech-trance monster. The original is every bit as sprawling and epic as you'd expect from a TBI cut, while the remixers all bring something worthwhile to the party. The sorely missed Pascal FEOS goes for a cruising deep cut straddling the boundaries between progressive and the thumping end of tech house, a perfect mid-set momentum maintainer. Jamie Anderson tones down the original slightly and brings out the bassline, while Trisco delivers the most unashamedly main room interpretation with a bassline that will make your teeth rattle and a noisy hand-raising riff in the breakdown with one eye on the harder end of the superclub trance scene. Whichever mix you opt for, pounding percussive energy is guaranteed. Dance music at its most muscular.

Original Mix sounds very similar to Belfunk by Sasha from the Xpander EP

One of the top tracks from Hooj Choons glory years (which I belive where 1999-2001), Tata Box Inhibitors unleashed a awesome stormer, "Freet". On the remix 12" we find Trisco (of "Musak" fame) providing us with a banger of a remix while Jamie Anderson (Artform/NRK) handles the flip with his tech-styled mix.
